CelestiaCore — Complete Reference Guide

What this is

CelestiaCore is a dual-perspective reference integrating verified astronomical science with every major human mythological, religious, and spiritual tradition. It covers every celestial body that has meaningfully shaped human religion, calendar, navigation, or cosmology across all known cultures.

The Four Views

  • Scientist — Orbital data, mass, radius, composition, discovery date. Sortable by any column.
  • Witch & Myth — Mythological names, archetypes, cultural associations, story context, practice keywords.
  • Religion — Full religious tradition coverage. Filter by tradition region. Sacred calendar roles, deities, ritual significance.
  • Cross-Reference — Historical significance, symbolic plausibility, personal research notes.

How to use the Religion tab

Use the tradition buttons to filter by religious region. Click any row to open the full detail modal. Search by deity name, tradition, or keyword. The "Sacred Significance" field documents verified historical religious roles. The "Ritual Calendar Impact" field documents how the body shaped sacred calendars and religious practice.

On methodology

No causal claims are made. All mythological and religious associations are drawn from documented historical records. Astronomical data is sourced from NASA, JPL, and IAU publications. This is a reference for research, pattern observation, and cross-cultural comparison — not prediction or divination guidance.

Coverage

The Sun, Moon, all 8 planets, major named moons, all significant dwarf planets, historically significant asteroids (the Big Four plus others with documented human significance), major centaurs, significant KBOs, scattered disc objects, and notable comets with historical religious impact.
